Easy Berry Overnight French Toast

Easy french toast that can be made ahead of time. Just bake and enjoy in the morning.

  • 1 loaf Bread cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 5 oz Fromage blanc or cream cheese
  • ½ cup Fresh berries
  • ¼ cup Jam of choice
  • 6 Large eggs Slightly beaten
  • 1 cup Milk
  • cup Maple syrup

Jam Syrup

  • ½ cup Jam
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1 tbsp Butter


  • Grease a deep-dish pie pan, small casserole dish or an 8x8x2 square pan.
  • Place half of the bread cubes in the bottom of the dish.
  • Cube and distribute the fromage blanc, fresh blueberries, and jam over bread cubes.
  • Top with remaining bread cubes.
  • In a medium size bowl combine the eggs, syrup and milk. Whisk until uniform. Pour over bread mixture.
  • Place in refrigerator several hours or preferably overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 350° F. Bake covered with foil for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue to bake approximately 15-30 minutes more, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden.
  • While the casserole bakes, combine the jam syrup ingredients in a small sauce pan and heat over low heat on the stovetop. Drizzle jam syrup over each serving. Garnish with fresh berries.
